Drolet, from Laterriere, Que., was second in the women's 1,000 metres with a time of one minute 32.813 seconds. It was her seventh career World Cup medal.

American Lana Gehring won gold in 1:32.711 and Jainrou Li of China took bronze in 1:32.819.

Marianne St-Gelais of St-Felicien, Que., and Olivier Jean of Lachenaie, Que., also won silver medals while Francois-Louis Tremblay of Alma, Que., added a bronze. Canada also won silver in the men's team relay.

St-Gelais was second in the women's 500 metres in 44.621 seconds.

She finished just behind Italy's Arianna Fontana, who won gold in 44.524. Another Italian, Martina Valcepina, was third in 44.676 and Valerie Maltais of La Baie, Que., was fourth.

Jean won silver in the men's 1,000 with a time of 1:28.265. It was Jean's seventh World Cup medal of the season and 15th of his career.

Jinkyu Noh of South Korea won gold in 1:28.202 and J.R. Celski of the United States took bronze in 1:28.422.

In the men's 500 metres, Tremblay finished third in 41.609 seconds. American Simon Cho (41.461) took the gold medal, South Korea's Yoon-Gy Kwak (41.592) won the silver.

Jean, Tremblay, Remi Beaulieu and Liam McFarlane teamed up for a second-place finish in the men's relay final.

Canada won silver in 6:56.569, just behind the Netherlands (6:55.971). South Korea won the bronze (6:59.106).
