Taking a look back at the week in sporting news, we pick 5 athletes and tell you almost true, little known facts about each of them.
Mike Weir - Is secretly a right-handed golfer, but was forced by the USGA to golf from the left side to prevent sales of left-handed clubs from dwindling. Weir's putter is made from peameal bacon and the head cover for his driver is a fully functional touque.
Perdita Felicien - Can jump over hurdles, cars, houses, garbage trucks and Kobe Byrant as he jumps. Unfortunately since her recent injury, she has only been able to jump over normal, boring old hurdles.
David Beckham - The Los Angeles Galaxy only paid $250 million dollars for his right foot. When Beckham retires, he must leave his foot in the possession of the club in the off chance they can transplant Beckham's right foot onto Cristiano Ronaldo's left leg when he eventually fades enough to play in the MLS.
Michelle Wie - Is actually Tiger Woods in disguise. A very good disguise. The knee injury is just a cover to play in PGA events with a smaller media circus.
Mats Sundin - There are actually two Mats. One for Toronto and one for Vancouver. This year, their combined salaries will probably be enough money for you, me, our families and all of Prince Edward Island to retire comfortably on.
Do you have a little known fact about an athlete (true or otherwise)? Send it along and I'll use it in this section next week!
